AWinburnART is a studio shop dedicated to contemporary Hard Edge fused glass — bold, geometric, luminous pieces that live at the intersection of fine art and functional beauty. Every piece is handcrafted one at a time in Renton, WA, which means what you find here is truly one of a kind.
Hard Edge Glass is a relatively new style in the United States, and it's one I'm passionate about growing here. If you love color, geometry, and art that catches the light in unexpected ways, you're in the right place.
The Artist Behind the Work
My name is Angie Winburn. I've had a love of art and color for as long as I can remember — it's just taken many forms over the years. From painting murals as a teenager to lampworking glass beads in the early 2000s, to earning an MFA in Illustration in 2018, art has always been the thread running through my life.
My path to fused glass wasn't a straight one. After a workplace injury and a long season of healing — which happened to coincide with a global pandemic — my wife gave me some stained glass supplies for my birthday. That gift changed everything. Working with glass became part of my recovery, and eventually, my calling.
In 2023, I discovered Contemporary Hard Edge Glass through the work of UK artist Linda Rossiter. The style — bright colors, clean geometric lines, striking precision — felt like something I had been moving toward my whole creative life. I knew immediately I wanted to bring it to the US. So I learned it, fell in love with it, and here we are.
Art with a Larger Purpose
Making beautiful things matters to me, but so does making a difference. I'm committed to using my platform to support survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence — not just in surviving, but in thriving.
